About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with business owners, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting high-quality financial reporting.

You will play an important role in managing client bookkeeping, assisting with accounting tasks, and supporting the delivery of timely financial information to our clients. You will responsible for end to end management for at least 2 clients.

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage bookkeeping and financial records for a portfolio of clients

·       Prepare and maintain accounts in cloud accounting systems

·       Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and payroll accounts

·       Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS

·       Manage payroll processing and superannuation obligations

·       Assist with month-end reporting and financial statements

·       Support accountants with year-end preparation and workpapers

·       Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with reporting requirements

·       Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes

About You

You are organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with numbers and clients.

Ideally you will have:

·       2-3+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience

·       Strong knowledge of cloud accounting platforms

·       Experience preparing BAS and managing payroll

·       Understanding of Australian accounting and GST requirements

·       High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

·       Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach

·       A positive attitude and desire to be part of a growing firm
