In this role you’ll support the Finance Manager by undertaking key accounting responsibilities such as FBT reporting, BAS submissions, Payroll Tax submissions, working with auditors and other core accounting activities.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to also:
Design and implement new ways of working, embracing technology and using AI to improve efficiency and work electronically
Streamline monthly and quarterly reporting, adding meaningful commentary to results to help inform decision-making
Partner with key leaders to support their understanding of budgets and spending requirements
Create 1–10 year budgets to inform strategic decisions
Join our construction project team, supporting the financial management of upcoming construction projects
Act in the role of Finance Manager from time to time
Who we're looking for:
You’ll have strong technical accounting knowledge, along with CPA or CA qualifications
You’ll be naturally warm, glass-half-full and have a good sense of humour
Be passionate about doing things well – we genuinely want someone with strong attention to detail who works to a high standard
Experience working collaboratively with teams, solving problems and thinking critically and creatively
Ability to clearly articulate how you have improved processes or outcomes within your current workplace
Salary will be commensurate with experience, broadly between $80k and $120k
This role would suit either an experienced accountant seeking work/life balance and an opportunity to step away from the corporate environment, or an up-and-coming accountant looking to broaden their skillset and grow in a varied and meaningful role.
