We are currently seeking an experienced and people-focused Payroll Specialist to join our Head Office team in Molendinar on the Gold Coast in a full-time, onsite, Monday to Friday role.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining compliance with local regulations and enhancing employee satisfaction through efficient payroll management. Your expertise will contribute to the overall financial health of the organisation and support our commitment to employee welfare,

Award interpretation, reconciliation, and internal audits to ensure payroll accuracy.

Responsibilities :

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Maintain payroll records and ensure all employee data is up to date.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance

  • Award Interpretation, reconciliation and internal audits
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure seamless integration of payroll and employee records.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a HR Advisor or Payroll Specialist, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of HR & payroll regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
  • Proficiency in the Fair Work Act 2009 and relevant modern awards.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Employment Hero HR / Payroll software (Keypay) is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
