ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As MOB Academy continues to grow, we are seeking an ICT Support Officer for this newly created entry level role supporting our Head of Finance/IT and MOB's IT Managed service provider. This role would be a perfect fit for someone still studying or just starting out with their IT career!
The IT Support Officer is a customer service-focused, hands-on role responsible for providing first-level IT support to staff and students across MOB Academy. As a key member of the MOB community, the role supports the effective day-to-day operation of technology systems, devices, and digital platforms that enable teaching, learning, communication, and school operations.
The role requires a proactive, solutions-focused individual who enjoys helping others, communicates effectively, and is confident working across a broad range of technologies in a fast-paced educational environment.
This is a permanent part-time role working 3 days per week (choose your days between Monday to Friday).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a primary point of contact for ICT related enquiries via helpdesk systems, phone, email, and face-to-face support
Log, prioritise, track, and resolve ICT support requests in accordance with service standards and response time expectations
Identify recurring technical issues and recommended long-term solutions or service improvements
Support onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and students, ensuring timely access to required ICT systems and services
Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to senior ICT personnel or external vendors where required
Maintain accurate ICT asset registers, including hardware, software licences, device allocations etc. as part of onboarding and offboarding
Monitor and report potential security risks, vulnerabilities, cyber incidents, or breaches
Build strong, respectful connections with staff and students
Uphold MOB Academy values at all times
Provide operational and administrative support to the Head of Finance/IT as required
REQUIRED
Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Information Technology (ICT) or similar
Demonstrated interest in IT support, systems, administration, or educational technology environments
Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, network concepts, and cloud-based technologies
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer focused support
Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
Availability for an immediate start for the right candidate/s
