Are you a strategic financial professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and driving business performance?

Enhanced Services is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our rapidly growing healthcare group. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of financial systems, analysing business performance, and supporting leadership with clear, data-driven insights.

You will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our organisation while supporting operational decision-making across multiple practice locations.

As Financial Controller, you will oversee the full financial lifecycle of the organisation, ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic financial planning.

This role goes beyond bookkeeping, you will work closely with directors and operational leadership to drive financial performance and support future growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting department, including accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and inter-entity transactions

  • Manage the consolidation of financial data across the business

  • Ensure accurate and timely end-of-month reporting

  • Monitor daily financial processes including billing and reconciliations

Financial Strategy & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly Shareholder reports; including profit & loss statements, balance sheets and cashflow reports

  • Analyse budget variances and financial performance

  • Forecast financial performance and develop strategies to improve profitability

  • Prepare financial information for banking, tax and ATO requirements

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Support practice teams in maintaining accurate financial processes

  • Implement and refine financial systems, controls and procedures

  • Assist leadership in evaluating capital investments and acquisitions

  • Support HR administration including payroll oversight and employment documentation

Compliance & Governance

  • Manage BAS preparation and reporting

  • Ensure financial compliance across all entities

  • Maintain financial transparency and fraud prevention processes

About You

You are a highly organised finance professional who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping or higher

  • Business Diploma or relevant financial qualification

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in financial control, accounting, or professional services

  • Experience in healthcare or dental industry highly regarded

Skills

  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills

  • Advanced Xero proficiency

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities
