About the role...

Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Finance Officer join our team in Casuarina.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily bank reconciliations

  • Processing supplier invoices, payments and accounts payable transactions

  • Raising invoices, allocating receipts, debtor follow-up and accounts receivable management

  • Processing employee expense claims and reimbursements

  • Supporting month-end processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assisting with finance reporting and month-end deliverables

About you.…

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Positive attitude and self-motivated with the capacity to work effectively as a team or autonomously.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping and AP/AR, including invoice processing, reconciliations and debtor/creditor management

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero or similar (desirable)

  • A Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting or a qualification currently being undertaken (highly regarded)

  • A genuine interest in surfing or the broader surfing community will be highly regarded
