ABC Building Products has been supplying quality bricks, blocks, pavers and steel across QLD and Northern NSW since 1978. We’re known for being reliable, easy to deal with, and genuinely looking after our customers.

Our Arundel branch is a busy, trade-focused environment servicing builders, tradies and homeowners. This role sits right at the front line of the business.

The Role

This is a customer-facing support role with a strong inbound sales focus.

You’ll work at the front counter and on the phone, helping customers place orders, preparing quotes, following up enquiries, and supporting the wider sales team. While service is critical, this role also plays an important part in turning enquiries into orders.

This is not a back-office admin role. You’ll be dealing with customers all day and expected to follow through on opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting customers at the counter and over the phone

  • Preparing quotes and processing orders accurately

  • Following up quotes and enquiries to convert them into sales

  • Supporting internal and external sales reps with customer and order information

  • Coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure smooth deliveries

  • Building strong relationships with regular trade customers

  • Keeping systems, pricing and customer records up to date

This Role Will Suit You If:

  • You enjoy talking to customers and solving problems

  • You’re comfortable on the phone and at the counter

  • You don’t mind following up quotes and closing the loop

  • You like being busy and part of a team environment

  • You take pride in getting things right the first time

This Role Is Not For You If:

  • You’re looking for a purely administrative role

  • You don’t enjoy customer interaction

  • You’re uncomfortable with sales conversations or follow-up

  • You prefer a role with no performance expectations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in customer service, internal sales or sales support

  • Confidence dealing with tradies, builders and suppliers

  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Solid computer skills (CRM or order systems experience ideal)

  • Building or construction supplies experience is a bonus, not essential
