Black Diamond Group's Workforce Solutions Australia Division has a full-time position for General Laborer.

Position: General Laborer

Reporting To: Selling Branch Manager, QLD

Location: Queensland Region

Primary Role:

The General Laborer is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair and cleaning of Rental Fleet. This individual will assist with all loading and unloading of building movements through the fleet yard. The work schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day or as agreed with the Manager. This position is based out of the Stapylton in northern Gold Coast, Queensland.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing buildings for hire, including washing and cleaning

• Assisting with repairs and maintenance of buildings

• Basic handyman skills with building maintenance and repair experience are required

• Fit and Install Windows, Doors, Molding's and Hardware

• Sweeping and general cleaning of construction area

• Observe and report any hazards identified throughout the course of performing duties

• Ensure work areas kept tidy and safe

• Manual handling tasks

• Material handling

• Loading and unloading of buildings using 16t forklift

• Maintain stock levels of frequently used materials

• Store returned items in a tidy manner within storage areas

• Provide direction to suppliers, deliveries and contractors when required

• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Must be able to use Problem Solving techniques to make decisions when planning and organizing tasks

• Must work well with others in a team environment

• Completion of secondary school is required

• Must be fluent in English both oral and written

• QLD unrestricted car license

• Forklift license & experience with large 16t machine

• Minimum 6-12 months experience operating a 16-tonne forklift is required

• Possess valid Construction White Card

• Valid work visa

• Permanent residency only is acceptable for this position
