About the role:

The successful applicant will bring a combination of clinical skills from many areas including demonstrated competency in providing personalised care delivery and management to elderly clients in a community setting. This is a Community Nurse position which entails visiting clients in their homes in South Coast region.

Duties include:

  • Providing clinical services to clients with their own home which includes but not limited to:

                 1. Medication administration

                 2. Wound management

                 3. Continence assessment/management

  • Liaise with coordinators, clients and appropriate health care professionals as required

  • Work in collaboration with other registered/enrolled nurses within the team

  • Review and identify changes in client needs

  • Supervised by Clinical Team Leader

What you'll need:

  • Current Registered (AHPRA)

  • Experience within the Aged Care & Disability industry 

  • Strong commitment to community care and experience in community nursing preferred

  • Adherence to Best Practice Standards

  • Driver's License 

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate in another language is an advantage but not essential

  • Current National Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
