About the role:
The successful applicant will bring a combination of clinical skills from many areas including demonstrated competency in providing personalised care delivery and management to elderly clients in a community setting. This is a Community Nurse position which entails visiting clients in their homes in South Coast region.
Duties include:
Providing clinical services to clients with their own home which includes but not limited to:
1. Medication administration
2. Wound management
3. Continence assessment/management
Liaise with coordinators, clients and appropriate health care professionals as required
Work in collaboration with other registered/enrolled nurses within the team
Review and identify changes in client needs
Supervised by Clinical Team Leader
What you'll need:
Current Registered (AHPRA)
Experience within the Aged Care & Disability industry
Strong commitment to community care and experience in community nursing preferred
Adherence to Best Practice Standards
Driver's License
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work successfully as part of a team
Ability to communicate in another language is an advantage but not essential
Current National Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police
Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
