Position Specifics.

Family Violence/Sexual Assault Counsellor - Providing therapeutic case management and counselling to children, young people, adults, families and/or carers in the area of sexual assault, family violence, abuse, trauma and inappropriate and/or harmful sexual behaviours. Provision of individual counselling and support as negotiated with Service Users, using a flexible approach that may integrate therapeutic work, advocacy, psycho education, protective behaviours and safety planning. 
                               
Essentially Offering: 

• Relevant Qualification in Counselling, Social Work/Mental Health

• Sensitive of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander culture and families
• Experience with Indigenous families, women, children, youth, mums, trauma
