URGENT | Casual Disability Support Worker | Upper Coomera, QLD
About UsActivity Care Services is a fast-growing NDIS provider delivering high-quality Disability and Community Support Services. We are passionate about promoting independence, creating safe and supportive environments, and engaging individuals in meaningful activities that improve quality of life.
We are a small, multicultural team making a BIG impact, committed to delivering culturally respectful, person-centred care. As we continue to grow, we are seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Support Workers to join our team supporting participants across the Gold Coast.
About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Female Casual Support Worker to support a young female participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and anxiety. This role is ideal for someone who understands that motivation, patience, and consistency can significantly impact a participant's confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
The participant is independent and highly motivated to achieve her goals but benefits from gentle encouragement and practical support to maintain routines during periods of increased stress and anxiety. The role involves supporting her with household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits and exercise, utilising mindfulness techniques learned through psychology supports, and assisting her to engage in meaningful community activities, including visits to her horse. We are seeking support workers who can build rapport, provide encouragement without being overbearing, and recognise when a more flexible and understanding approach is needed.
