Tech Finishes Tiling (QLD) Pty Ltd located in Gold Coast; QLD is looking for full-time Draftsperson to assist with our many projects! 

Position overview:

 

We are looking for a skilled and experienced draftsperson to join our busy tiling company who can prepare detailed drawings, technical plans, and illustrations to precise specifications for tiling projects.

 

Qualifications / Experience required:

You will hold a Diploma or higher and have at least 1 year of experience. 

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Interpreting client needs and instructions while applying appropriate procedures and using various software programs to create preliminary drawings and technical plans as required for various projects
  • Creating detailed, scaled floor plans and elevation drawings (wall layouts) that meet precise specifications for complex custom patterns, 3D wet area layouts, etc including specifying tile patterns, borders, niche locations, and calculating exact tile quantities to guide tilers
  • Ensure structural compliance for all plans and drawings, including proper drainage angles, waterproofing systems, and water supply
  • Taking into account customer requirements, along with ensuring all drawings meet regulations and codes of practice, including compliance with local council regulations, as well as state and nation-wide laws and regulations
  • Editing and revising plans and drawings as needed to ensure client satisfaction
  • Estimating costs for tiling, stone and waterproofing based on project specifications 
  • Providing assistance to Construction Managers, Project Managers, Tilers, the Commercial team etc in planning and organisation

Benefits

Remuneration on offer between $75K to $90K depending on experience.
