We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Work, Health and Safety Officer to join the team at d’Albora in South East Queensland (Gold Coast City Marina & Pacific Point Marina).
Your key tasks will consist of but not limited to:
Provide visible day-to-day support across safety & environmental functions and site activities
Assist with incident, hazard and corrective action management
Support investigations and maintain confidential record keeping
Coordinate inductions, safety communications and toolbox activities within skillset
Participate in inspections, reviews and monitoring activities
Support business partners and contractor safety requirements
Assist with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure environmental authorities (licenses) are complied with
About You
You are organised, enjoy working as part of a team, and can confidently communicate with stakeholders, including management, contractors and tenants
You are proficient in the use of Word and Excel and have a basic understanding of PowerPoint, whilst being confident in learning new business specific software
You take a pragmatic approach to managing safety, whilst ensuring attention to detail, and are happy to work inside and outside as the role requires
You believe in protecting the environment, and ideally have an understanding of environmental licensing in Queensland, or skills / knowledge in another aspect of environmental management or sustainability.
You are willing to work flexibly on occasions where support with emergency events is required, and to routinely work across more than one site in the local area. A current open driver’s license is required.
You are willing to upskill and attend further training as required for the role
Experience in either of the following would be of benefit to the role:
Traffic management plans / warehousing
Forklift trucks, straddle carriers or other mobile / construction plant
Persons with an interest in boating, shipyards, or the Maritime sector would be highly regarded
Australian Residency / Work Rights in Australia is essential.
