About the businesses

Mahi Boats and Hybrid Composites are two sister composite businesses at the Gold Coast City Marina. Mahi builds custom high-performance vessels; Hybrid does advanced composite development, tooling and fabrication. The two work closely — projects often run across both — and we back the craftsmanship with proper systems and delivery discipline.

The role

We are looking for a Project Manager to own delivery across both businesses end to end — scope, schedule, budget and the client relationship — so every project lands on time, on budget and to standard, and the build teams are never waiting on a decision. You will run your projects from won through to handover, working with the Mahi Foreman, the Hybrid Production Lead and their teams on the floor, and an Operations Manager who keeps materials and systems flowing behind you. This is an accountable, hands-on delivery seat, not a coordinator role.

What you will own

—  Delivery of assigned projects across both businesses from won through to handover — scope, schedule, budget and outcome

—  Building and holding the schedule for each project

—  Scope and variation management through the approval gates

—  Tracking each project against budget and protecting the margin

—  Being the primary point of contact for the client

—  Raising requirements early so the build teams are never waiting on materials, decisions or information

—  Coordinating trades and subcontractors on site across Mahi and Hybrid

—  Keeping project boards and reporting current so progress is always visible

About you

—  Experience delivering projects in marine, construction, manufacturing or composites

—  Able to manage scope, schedule and budget on concurrent projects without losing control of any of them

—  Confident holding a client relationship — including difficult conversations and variations

—  Strong written and verbal communication, and the discipline to keep tracking and reporting current

—  Industry knowledge of how builds actually go together is a real advantage
