Core Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support by assisting participants with appointments and planned activities.

  • Facilitate and support group activities in Gold Coast.

  • Deliver support during respite hours and other participant outings.

  • Establish and maintain trusted, empathetic relationships with participants and stakeholders.

  • Promote client autonomy, legal and human rights respecting informed choice and control.

  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to meet client and organisational goals.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Certificate III in Community Services, Mental Health, or Disability is mandatory.

  • Lived experience as a carer is a significant advantage.

  • At least 1 year of direct experience in disability or mental health support.

  • Candidates working towards qualifications in psychology, occupational therapy or related fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Proven ability to work with vulnerable populations with respect and professionalism.

  • Must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.

Essential Requirements
  • Must have reliable transport and a current driver's license to travel across Gold Coast as part of the role.

  • Flexibility to work in varying environments including CBD group settings and participant homes.
