Position Overview

• Position: Early Childhood Teacher

• Employment Basis: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

• Workload FTE: 38 hours per week (Full Time)

• Commencement: 5 May 2026

• Pay Range: In accordance with the Educational Services (Teachers) Award $75,397-$104,323 + super (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

The Role

We are seeking a passionate, qualified Early Childhood Teacher to lead a play-based, Christ‑centred kindergarten program that nurtures the emotional, social, cognitive, spiritual and physical development of young children.

In this role, you will:

• Plan, implement and evaluate high‑quality programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines.

• Create a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment that supports each child’s individual needs.

• Build strong, respectful partnerships with families and engage actively in the life of the Service and wider College community.

• Work collaboratively with the Service Leader, QLECS and colleagues to meet compliance, documentation and quality requirements.

• Contribute to National Quality Framework processes and continuous improvement.

• Lead and mentor educators through collaboration, guidance and professional learning.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, including QLECS workshops and retreats.

About You

You will bring:

• Relevant Qualifications & Compliance
  Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent, Qld Teacher Registration (or eligibility), Blue Card, First Aid/CPR including Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management, and Supervisor Certificate (or ability to obtain).

• Strong Knowledge of Early Childhood Frameworks & Regulations
  Experience with the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines, the National Law & Regulations, and the National Quality Framework.

• Experience in Designing & Delivering High‑Quality Play‑Based Programs
  Ability to plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate, child‑centred learning experiences.

• Skilled in Documentation, Assessment & Family Engagement
  Confident in documenting learning, maintaining records, and building strong relationships with families.

• Effective Communication & Collaboration
  Demonstrated ability to work positively with leaders, colleagues, families and community stakeholders.

• Understanding of Children’s Services Operations
  Knowledge of WH&S, risk management, hygiene, budgets and general early childhood service requirements.

• Leadership, Teamwork & Professional Conduct
  Experience guiding and supporting other educators, modelling ethical, organised and reflective practice

• Commitment to Christian Ethos & Community Engagement
  Willingness to support the Lutheran ethos and participate in community and College events.

• Personal Attributes
  A warm, child‑centred approach, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and a commitment to growth.
