An opportunity is now available for a on-campus Academic Administrator- VET to join our national team in Gold Coast. This role will focus on providing Greenwich College (a Registered Training Organisation) academic administrative support and ensuring excellent customer service to students and external clients.
Reporting to the National VET Academic Manager and the Academic Manager at Greenwich College, the VET Academic Administrator will have the following responsibilities:
Course progress monitoring, issuance of warning letters and processing of appeal outcomes
Preparation of student results spreadsheets
Academic counselling
Responding to queries from students and internal departments
Managing students via STARS and CANVAS (our SMS and LMS)
Monitoring attendance and identification of 'Non-Commencement' students
Monitoring student's course progress
Managing student submissions and outcomes
Development and monitoring of student study plan including credit transfers
Administer student work placement documents and
other administrative academic tasks as required.
The ideal candidate:
Has relevant experience in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Industry, preferably with a CRICOS organisation.
Has performed in a similar role in student services or admissions
Is sensitive to cultural differences and understands how to address students with different English levels and cultural backgrounds
Demonstrates strong administration skills with advanced proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suite.
Is a flexible multitasker and team player
Is happy to work in a fast-paced environment where troubleshooting is a must
Demonstrates time management and efficiency
Shows initiative, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
Has the ability to work autonomously and at times with little guidance or instruction
Has exceptional attention to detail and meticulous accuracy
Demonstrates ability to influence, negotiate and engage with a range of stakeholders
Has an interest in establishing a friendly and professional rapport in line with Greenwich College values
