Boonah State High School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to support students and teachers in delivering positive learning outcomes. You will support classroom activities, prepare resources, assist individual students and small groups, help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment, assist with supervision, excursions and administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people to achieve their potential. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.66FTE), 50 hours per fortnight.

About the Role:

• Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
• Candidates must possess high level computer skills and be able to work on a broad range of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Canva/Adobe.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting teachers and students with events, school excursions and sporting activities.
• Ability to create resources to support classroom delivery.
• Maintaining records on activities for use in reviewing effectiveness of programs.
• Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
• Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
• Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.
