Step Into Your Next Chapter:

In 2027 a new secondary school will be opened in the Logan area to provide for the Brighter Futures of approximately 660 year 7 and 8 students.

The successful applicant will have a high level of knowledge about supporting students with disabilities and the skills and attributes to build a sustainable and successful inclusive practices culture.

You will build the capability of all staff in differentiation and contribute to the provision of quality education programs for all students.

The successful applicant will have strategic leadership skills and abilities in building a new program in a new school and the complexities that this brings is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
  • Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
  • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
  • Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
