The role:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our close knit and supportive team at our Yatala QLD site.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute towards the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment

  • Carry out preventive / planned / breakdown maintenance routines

  • Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures

  • Timely and effective resolution of plant failures

  • Partake in capital and improvement projects

  • Able to identify improvement opportunities

  • Follow WHS directives

Required skills, experience and qualifications:
  • A great attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results

  • High level knowledge & commitment to WHS and risk management

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills with intermediate level computer skills

  • Ability to work individually or as a team member

  • Experience working as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment that has standard, structured work with accountability for delivery of maintenance KPI’s

  • Ability to work to a flexible schedule including shift work as required

  • Formal Trade qualifications are required

  • MMAW & MIG welding skills (TIG optional)

  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics training and experience 

  • Ability to work Overtime as required

Desirable
  • Forklift ticket 

  • Experience in using a Computerised Maintenance System MEX

  • Working at Heights ticket

  • Confined Spaces
