About the Role:

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking 3 Casual Environmental Service Workers for Golden Age Aged Care Service for our 80 bed Residential Aged Care home based at Southport. This role primarily supports kitchen and servery operations, including assisting with food preparation and meal service. You might also contribute to laundry duties as required, helping ensure services are delivered safely and with care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servery Operations: Assisting with food preparation and meal service, setting up and cleaning dining areas and equipment, cleaning kitchen, communal areas, and resident rooms, supporting food safety, infection control, and hygiene standards.
  • Laundry Operations: Managing the full laundry cycle – sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linen and personal clothing with care and attention to details.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
  • Friendly, respectful, and customer-focused
  • Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Knowledgeable in food safety and hygiene
  • Flexible with shifts and duties
  • Experience in a similar role is highly desireable

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Australian work rights (Sponsorship not available)
