Attention LandCruiser enthusiasts! Only LandCruisers is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team in Ashmore, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and building LandCruiser vehicles. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every vehicle we work on meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the reputation of Only LandCruisers as a trusted name in the engine conversion/automotive industry. Ideally you will be experienced with 4WD's and LandCruisers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Carrying out engine conversions and custom modifications on vehicles, fitting performance aftermarket parts and completing high quality builds to customer specifications

  2. Performing routine maintenance and servicing on Landcruiser vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks

  3. Repairing and replacing mechanical components such as turbos, injectors, complete engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and braking systems

  4. Maintaining accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

  5. Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations and best practices

  6. Using specialised tools and equipment safely and effectively

  7. Working collaboratively with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently

What we're looking for

  1. Recognised qualifications in automotive mechanics or a related field, such as a Certificate III or higher in Automotive (Light Vehicle Mechanical or equivalent)

  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Mechanical Technician in a professional automotive workshop or service centre

  3. Demonstrated expertise in Landcruiser vehicle mechanics and servicing

  4. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems

  5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic reports

  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and team members

  8. Valid driver's licence and ability to test drive vehicles safely

  9. A commitment to health and safety practices and workplace compliance

  10. Physical fitness and ability to work in a workshop environment, including lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods

  11. Australian citizenship is required for this position
