The role

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated individual who is either currently working as a Mechanical Fitter or actively working in the field of Maintenance and looking to step into a Mechanical Fitter role. This full-time position is an integral member of the maintenance team rotating on both the morning and afternoon shifts supporting our 24hr production facilities at our Masonry Plant in Stapylton

In this role you will be able to apply your technical expertise or other experienced gained, working in a team environment and autonomously on plant maintenance. Great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure commitment to safety, quality, and the environment.
  • Mechanical fitting duties within a site-based environment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.

What you will need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a mechanical role or similar
  • A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
  • A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility or experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
