The JDA Hotels group is a family owned business and resides over fourteen (14) hospitality venues throughout Sydney, Victoria and Queensland.   JDA Hotels prides itself in offering “the premium pub experience” and is an award-winning Hotel group.    Mermaid Beach Tavern are looking for Food, Beverage and Gaming Attendants, this venue offers outstanding quality pub food, a wide selection of beverages/cocktails and entertainment activities. 

About the Role

As a Food, Beverage and Gaming Attendant, you will focus on providing superior customer service in a friendly and warm atmosphere.   We are looking for motivated and outgoing individuals with a positive attitude to come on board.   The right candidates will have a passion for providing patrons with the best hotel experience and maintaining our top customer service reputation.

The positions currently available are casual, working to a roster which will include covering day, night and weekend shifts.

Your overall responsibility is to provide top customer service, your ability to work both independently and in a team environment, possess excellent grooming and presentation as well as great communication skills.

Skills and experience

The successful candidates will have the following:

• Proven experience in the food, beverage, and gaming service industry.

• Display a permanent and consistent focus on service and customer experience.

• Must be able to carry out Gaming Attendant and cashiering duties, whilst following gaming procedures.

• TAB, Keno and Poker Machine operational experience, is highly desirable.

• Solid experience and strong understanding of TAB facilities.

• Will hold relevant certificates (including QLD) RSA and RCG.

• Has a reliable, honest and positive attitude and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, whilst working as a team player.

• The right candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented, well groomed at all times and have a warm and friendly smile.

• Committed, trustworthy and responsible individuals are what we are looking for.  The candidates must be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays, when rostering demands this.

• Available to commence immediately.
