Kitchen Hand – New Café Opening in Surfers Paradise

We’re launching an exciting new café in Surfers Paradise at the end of April and are looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Hands to help keep the kitchen running smoothly and support our chefs in creating a fantastic guest experience.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Hand, you’ll be an essential part of the team, helping with prep, cleaning, and general kitchen support to ensure everything runs efficiently. No experience? No problem — we’ll show you the ropes!

Your role includes:

  • Assisting chefs with food prep and basic cooking tasks
  • Keeping the kitchen, equipment, and workstations clean and organised
  • Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchenware
  • Receiving and storing deliveries
  • Supporting the team during busy service times
  • Following all food safety and hygiene practices

What You Bring

  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness
  • Reliability and flexibility — early starts and weekend shifts included
  • Previous kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $37.43 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
