We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team and assist in ensuring the kitchen is productive and operates seamlessly.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic chef who values teamwork, and high culinary standards in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of meals/dishes according to an a la carte menu using a range of skills and techniques
  • Fulfils their part to ensure consistency at all stages of preparation, presentation and portion control
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and inventory
  • Have input into the planning of menus and cooking procedures
  • Keep a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment
  • Positively communicate with the kitchen and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum of 12 months' experience in a commercial kitchen (pub/hotel experience preferred)
  • Certificate III, IV and Diploma in Hospitality
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices 
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • The position involves working shift work including nights, weekends and split shifts
  • Reliability, time management, and a passion for good food are essential
