Position Summary

The Galley Café is looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in hospitality and wanting to gain experience in a busy café environment.

The successful candidate will assist with dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, basic food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.

• Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher.

• Keep the kitchen, dishwashing area, and storage areas clean and organised.

• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation as required.

• Remove rubbish and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas.

• Receive and store deliveries following instructions.

• Restock kitchen supplies and cleaning materials.

• Follow all workplace health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

• Assist with general cleaning duties at the end of each shift.
