Step into a role where digital innovation meets tourism! Nestled on the pristine Lady Elliot Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is seeking a strategic, commercially driven Head of Digital Marketing & Sales to drive growth, bookings and online brand visibility while championing innovation & technology. The role will be based in our Coolangatta office with occasional visits to the island as required.
The Role
You’ll lead all digital and sales strategies, connecting with guests from inspiration to post-stay. Your focus will be on digital innovation, direct bookings, revenue growth and brand storytelling, ensuring the resort’s online presence reflects its eco-conscious values.
Responsibilities:
You'll own the full digital and commercial scope of one of Australia's most iconic eco-resorts, from brand storytelling to direct bookings, paid media to trade partnerships.
Lead digital strategy web, paid media, social, CRM, and AI-driven tools that personalise guest experiences and sharpen campaign performance
Drive direct bookings by optimising the booking journey, integrating smart tech, and making it easier than ever for guests to book
Run high-impact paid media across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and whatever emerging channel comes next
Grow revenue through sales by building packages, unlocking new opportunities, and managing relationships with internal reservations, travel agents, wholesalers, inbound operators and international trade partners
Be the brand guardian ensuring every touchpoint reflects the resort's sustainability values, from PR and media outreach to content campaigns
Build partnerships by collaborating with RTOs, eco-tourism organisations, and aligned brands and represent the resort at industry events and trade shows
Lead and develop your team across Marketing, Reservations, and Sales. Setting KPIs and fostering a high-performance culture
Own the budget by tracking ROI, monitoring monthly performance, and feeding insights into rates, occupancy and business planning
Oversee Seair Pacific Lady Elliot Island's sister company marketing and social media strategies.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or relevant field experience in the digital world
7+ years in senior Sales & Marketing roles, ideally in tourism and hospitality
Proven track record in digital strategy, revenue growth, and team leadership
Proven experience in technology innovation
Experience with NewBook or similar systems
Passion for sustainable tourism and the guest experience
