Subcontractor Opportunity – NBN Fixed Wireless Technician

AusFibreComm is currently seeking motivated subcontractors to assist with NBN Fixed Wireless installations, migrations and service work across the East Coast of Australia. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to take on as much work as your schedule allows.

Work is available throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales, ranging from Cairns down to Sydney. While some travel may be required depending on project demand, we aim to allocate jobs within your local area or surrounding regions whenever possible.

For those who enjoy being on the road, this role can also be a great opportunity to travel and work your way along the East Coast, taking on jobs in different regions while exploring new areas.

About the work:

The role involves completing NBN Fixed Wireless migration jobs, service calls and new installations. This typically includes working at customer premises where you will:

• Access customer roofs to install or upgrade NBN Fixed Wireless antennas

• Run or adjust cabling where required

• Enter customer homes to install, upgrade or replace indoor NBN connection units

• Test connections to ensure services are working correctly

• Communicate professionally with customers while on site

The work is fairly straightforward once you get the hang of it, and we have successfully worked with subcontractors from a wide range of backgrounds. Previous telecommunications experience is beneficial but not essential, as some of our technicians started with no industry experience at all.

Requirements:

• Construction White Card

• Valid driver’s licence

• Working at Heights certification (course can be provided if required)

• Police Clearance Certificate

• Eligibility to work in Australia

• NBN Enable registration

• First Aid and CPR certification

Job Type: Subcontract

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
