The Role:

We’re excited to welcome a full-time Estimator to our friendly Yatala office.

This role is primarily in Internal Technical Estimating, with occasional on-site customer interaction for key accounts. You’ll prepare designs, costings, and estimates for customer enquiries, place orders through our MRP system, and keep customers updated throughout their project.

You’ll also produce AutoCAD drawings for production and prepare accurate quotes based on customer designs and specs. From initial concept to final delivery, you’ll be a key support partner for our customers every step of the way.

Customer Service, efficiency, and quality are vital to this role, and the ideal candidate will excel in all three.

Candidate Requirements:

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Excellent multitasker - ability to change tasks quickly

• Good communicator, both written and verbal.

• A flexible nature and the ability to work under pressure

• A dynamic individual who can work independently as well as being a good team player

• Solid understanding of technical drawings.

• Friendly and approachable, with strong social skills.

• An individual who takes pride in their work.

Desirable

• Experience using Laser cutting machines and Press Brakes

• Understanding of TIG and MIG welding processes

• Understanding of general steel fabrication processes

• 2+ years of experience within the steel fabrication industry

• AutoCAD knowledge is preferable 

• Good understanding of common manufacturing methods, including Laser cutting, CNC pressing and general steel fabrication
