At Channel Group, developers come to us when they need more than a marketing agency.

They engage us when projects need strategic clarity, commercial thinking, market insight and practical delivery.

We work alongside Australia's leading developers, operators and investment groups across residential communities, medium and high-density apartments, townhomes, land lease communities, retirement living, aged care and mixed-use projects.

Our role is to help clients navigate complexity, unlock opportunity and improve project outcomes — from early-stage positioning and market intelligence through to sales, marketing and operational execution.

We're looking for a Strategic Marketing Manager to work within our Marketing Team and manage a portfolio of client's projects that are typically in off-plan launch or selling mode. We're looking for someone who can confidently operate at both a strategic and delivery level, leading project marketing initiatives while building trusted relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple asset classes, thrives in fast-moving environments and wants exposure to projects that genuinely shape communities across Australia.

This is a hands-on role, so you need to really love getting on the tools and seeing a project through to success.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Strategic Marketing Manager, you'll become a key extension of our clients' teams, helping drive project outcomes from concept through to delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the onboarding and ongoing marketing management of development projects

  • Translating project positioning, sales strategy and commercial objectives into actionable marketing plans.

  • Developing and managing go-to-market strategies, launch programs, campaign schedules and project marketing activity.

  • Acting as the primary day-to-day liaison between developers, sales teams, creative partners, media agencies and internal stakeholders.

  • Managing project timelines, deliverables, budgets and reporting to ensure projects remain on track.

  • Preparing client presentations, project updates, marketing recommendations and performance reviews.

  • Briefing, reviewing and refining campaign creative, digital marketing activity, content, collateral and communication programs.

  • Working closely with Channel's Research, Sales Advisory and Strategic Projects teams to ensure marketing activity aligns with broader project objectives.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve project performance through marketing, customer experience and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

What Makes This Role Different

Unlike traditional project marketing roles, you'll have the opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle and contribute to broader project strategy, but you'll also get to do this with multiple clients at a time.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • Residential land communities

  • Medium and high-density apartment projects

  • Townhome developments

  • Land lease and lifestyle communities

  • Retirement living and seniors housing

  • Mixed-use and emerging living sectors

You'll also work alongside Channel Group's multidisciplinary team of researchers, strategists, sales advisors and project specialists who are regularly engaged to solve complex challenges for some of Australia's leading property groups.

We're Looking For Someone Who
  • Has experience in property project marketing, development marketing or a related advisory role.

  • Has worked across multiple property asset classes, ideally including apartments, townhomes, residential communities and/or seniors living.

  • Is equally comfortable discussing strategy in a client meeting and rolling up their sleeves to deliver outcomes.

  • Builds strong relationships and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Has exceptional project management and organisational skills.

  • Understands the nuance of being a consultant as opposed to client-side

  • Thinks commercially and understands the broader drivers of project success.

  • Thrives in environments where no two projects are the same.

  • Enjoys working as part of a high-performing, collaborative team.

Why Channel Group?

We're a specialist advisory business operating at the intersection of research, strategy, marketing, sales and operations.

Our clients engage us because growth creates complexity, and complexity requires experienced people who can help navigate it.

If you're looking for a role that combines strategic thinking, meaningful client relationships and hands-on project delivery across some of Australia's most interesting property projects, we'd love to hear from you.
