Broker relationships + real transactions. National BDM role.

Our client is seeking a commercially capable Business Development Manager to build and manage broker relationships across Australia.

Based in either the Gold Coast or Brisbane, this role focuses on developing a national network of finance and mortgage brokers, maintaining consistent engagement, and converting those relationships into steady deal flow.

The Role

You will take ownership of broker engagement nationally—strengthening existing relationships while continuing to build new connections.

This is a relationship-led role with a clear commercial focus on originating and progressing deals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build, manage, and grow a national network of finance and mortgage brokers
  • Leverage existing relationships while developing new partnerships
  • Maintain regular contact to stay front of mind and generate repeat business
  • Work closely with brokers to structure and progress funding opportunities
  • Prepare and present indicative terms and loan summaries
  • Attend broker meetings, networking events, and industry briefings
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and CRM activity
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth

About You

  • Proven experience in Business Development or Sales within finance or lending
  • Established broker relationships, or a strong ability to build them
  • Commercially aware, with a practical approach to winning and progressing deals
  • Consistent, professional, and relationship-focused
  • Self-directed, with strong organisation and follow-up
  • Comfortable with national engagement and regular travel
  • Relevant qualifications in business or finance will be viewed favourably.
