Sanctuary Cove Community Services Limited and its wholly owned subsidiaries are responsible for providing excellence and care to the Sanctuary Cove Community through the provision of security and body corporate services.

A full-time Control Room Assistant position with the Security Administration department is now available. 

  • 4 days on 4 days off

  • Hours of work between 06:15 and 17:45

  • 77-hour fortnight - $34.82 - $35.84 p/h (plus 12% superannuation)

  • Public Holidays paid at additional rate if rostered

Key duties include:

  1. Controlling electronic gate access.

  2. Monitoring closed circuit television (CCTV) and alarm monitoring devices.

  3. Maintaining registers and access lists as advised by residents.

  4. Responding to emails as required.

  5. General data entry and population of databases.

  6. Issuing keys and access devices to residents and contractors.

  7. Operating the point-of-sale system and reconciling end-of-day takings.

  8. Maintaining Gallagher, Visitor Management and License Plate Recognition software. 

  9. Security Roundhouse administration/reception duties – answering and directing incoming calls, greeting internal and external customers.

  10. Other tasks and General Office Duties as required.

Key attributes essential to the role:

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  2. Very high attention to detail. 

  3. Exceptional telephone manners and customer service skills.

  4. Demonstrated high-quality, efficient administration skills.

  5. Confidence to work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines.

  6. Ability to multi-task and use initiative while working unassisted.

  7. The ability to work in a team environment. 

  8. High confidentiality practices.

  9. Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel and Outlook. 

  10. Although not essential, previous experience in alarm monitoring software (Patriot) and Gallagher will be highly regarded. 

Applicants must hold a Queensland Security Providers License – Security Officer (Monitoring) to be eligible or be prepared to gain the license upon commencing.
