About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our family medical practice. We are looking for 4 days per week with potential for increased hours in the future.
As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the GPs and reception team, ensuring smooth administrative and operational workflows while maintaining a high level of patient care and service.
This role provides a opportunity to help shape the practice’s continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and smooth workflows
- Staff management including rostering, training, and team support
- Handling patient and staff queries with professionalism and empathy
- Medicare billing oversight and ensuring compliance with current regulations
- Management of accounts, payroll coordination, and liaison with bookkeepers/accountants
- Stock ordering and supplier liaison
- Ensuring accreditation standards and policy updates are maintained
- Implementing and managing Best Practice Software processes and updates
- General administrative duties including working at reception and support to the clinical team
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:

Experience with Best Practice software (essential) and Hotdoc (Optional)
- A background as a Senior Medical Receptionist in a GP clinic, or current experience as a Practice Manager
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- A proactive and professional attitude
- Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and general practice compliance standards
- Familiarity with Hotdoc, Cubiko, and digital health initiatives is desirable
