An AO4 Debt Resolution Officer vacancy is available in the Debt Management Centre division of the Queensland Revenue Office.

Adopting a client centric approach, you will engage with clients and negotiate outcomes in challenging circumstances, including resolving escalations referred from within the team.

The position is based in our Southport office with flexible work options available and access to professional growth pathways.

Your typical day as a Debt Resolution Officer may include:
• Provide prompt, helpful and supportive client service (both internal and external, whilst adhering to the client charter.
• Provide support to Service Officers through the completion of Help Desk requests and Debt Resolution Officers referrals.
• Analyse, interpret and apply legislation to investigations and resolve inquiries.
• Undertake challenging negotiations and effectively manage client relationships over the phone to achieve intended results of debt finalisation.
• Support the team to build a positive and participative culture aligned to our values and expectations.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Resilience, patience and persistence and the ability to remain calm in challenging negotiations.
• A strong working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems.
• Capability to analyse, interpret and apply legislation and/or policy to achieve successful outcomes.
• High level of interpersonal and influential communication skills within a client-focused environment.
• Basic financial analysis skills.
