About Us

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our food manufacturing team based in Yatala, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing process improvements to optimize plant operations, ensure product safety, and improve efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new processes and equipment to improve plant operations, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Design, install, and maintain metal detection systems to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Analyse and optimise existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage capital projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, quality, and sanitation to ensure process improvements are implemented effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a process engineering capacity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience with metal detection systems and foreign material control.

  • Hands on experience with fault finding and repair works.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimisation

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work cross-functonally

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
