The Role
The role contributes to this by making sure that our inventory control procedures, stock purchasing and systems are designed and followed in such a way that our whole team can trust the integrity of our after-market parts database – this role is a key lynchpin between purchasing, sales, warehouse, despatch, and importantly, our customers.
Our People Ethos
This role is dynamic and includes duties as follows (but not limited too)
Transfer, gather and correlate supplier information
Maintain good rapport and communication channels with suppliers
Overseas Procurement ordering
Process overseas reorder reports and present them for evaluation then order
Maintain, check, receive and process orders with accuracy
Read and translate work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed through internal/external supply andservice lines
Emergency ordering
Ensure Purchase Order etc are correct, goods Received, and paperwork/invoices are completed for prompt receiving and despatch of that part
Stock control and builds
Carry out maintenance on inventory part numbers on an ongoing basis, to ensureall numbers are up to date with pricing, locations, sales types, descriptions,groups and all other fields
Carry out stock control and stock take procedures
Complete reports such as new part numbers, Negative and Write Downs
Build the BOM for part numbers and their relatives and process builds
Complete an internal request if required or that direct issue is completed
In cooperation with your Manager, proactively identify and implement best practiceand high-quality processes and systems
Adhere to all company policies in relation to quality control and follow establishedsystems and procedures
Comply with any relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice applicable toyour work
Base requirements and behaviours
Experience in reorder and inventory maintenance systems (desirable)
Qualifications in warehousing, logistics, distribution and/or other relevant fields isdesirable, but not essential
Strong problem-solving ability and the willingness to make things happen to meetour customer's expectations is essential.
Intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to enter data and produce reports from a database
Lead by example in their own behaviours and performance
Show a genuine team approach
