About the Role:

As a Purchasing Officer, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager and play a critical role in our procurement operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Updating the demand forecasting model daily to identify products that require purchasing.

  • Raising purchase orders for inventory items and preparing requisition forms for other departments.

  • Coordinating with suppliers to confirm estimated delivery times for all purchases.

  • Assisting the Procurement Manager and Sales team with sourcing new raw materials.

  • Facilitating effective communication across all departments within the organization.

  • Working proactively outside the scope of purchasing to assist with various warehouse functions as needed.

  • Supporting the Logistics, Warehouse, and Materials Manager as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and basic computer skills is essential.

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with intermediate proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative team player.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Positive attitude, punctuality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
